People often say to me, “I’m not photogenic, I just don’t look good in photos.” I love proving them wrong, through light and creativity, elevating the beauty that was always there. When they see the final results, how good they can actually look; without photoshop, as themselves; and how they actually are beautiful – that truly fills me with happiness.

Why I Love Photography

I have always found that when I'm looking through the lens, I am seeing the best and most beautiful of whatever I'm looking at.  What a wonderful way to experience life! And when I use that to create beautiful images of people and get to witness their reactions, it is more fulfilling than you can imagine.

My Focus

My photography mainly starts with light.  I find the most interesting and flattering light, and then look next to the scene - the background and what else is available.  I combine that with the special attributes of whoever I am shooting, and maybe throw in a bit of fun or a prop or something unique to capture the uniqueness of that specific moment.

About Me

I bought my first "real" camera from a pawn show as a teenager, and have been shooting ever since. In addition to shooting portraiture and boudoir, I love shooting my family, birds and wildlife, the sports I play (lots of beach volleyball), and beautiful scenery.
